Subject: E-Payment of Central excise and Service
Tax-regarding.
Finance Minister on
(a) Ease of operation and convenience
(b) Availability of the facility is 24x7 basis
(c) On-line filling of challan and payment of taxes
(d) Instant Cyber Receipts for payment made
(e) Receipted Challans delivered at door step and
(f) Service is free of charge
As
of now 7 banks i.e. State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of
India, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank and UTI Bank has started offering the
e-Payment facility. Other banks are also coming up with the solution and it is
expected that all the authorized banks will start offering the solution to
Central Excise and Service Tax assessees within a
short span of time.
All the Central Excise and
Service Tax assessees are once again requested to
make use of e-Payment facility for tax payments to the Government.
All trade Associations and Chambers
of Commerce and Members of Regional Advisory Committee are requested to
publicize this Trade Notice among their Members/Constituents.
